Ministry experience
  • Scholar in Residence at Cresheim Valley Church (2007-2008). Responsibilities included teaching adult Sunday School classes; launching a women's bible study programme; preparing and leading bible studies; writing occasional articles; responding to theological questions raised by members of the congregation.

  • While I was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Lyonsdown, I had a number of responsibilities including PCC secretary, Sunday School teacher (11-13's), and organising several evangelistic craft evenings.

  • As a parish assistant at St Andrews Church, my responsibilities included practical service to the church; office work including establishing a new database of church members; studying the bible one to one with a number of women; co-leading a midweek bible study group; writing bible study notes for homegroups; helping to plan and organise several high-profile apologetics events.

  • I have been a leader on LymingtonRushmore Holidays for many years, most recently working with students and training new leaders.

  • I have been a team member on various missions and holiday clubs, sharing the gospel with people of all ages in many different situations. This has included schools work (taking lessons and assemblies), student work (as a college guest during a Cambridge mission), and open-air evangelism among other things.


Other professional interests and experience:
  • Book Review Editor for a new journal of UK reformed theology, Ecclesia Reformanda, first issue due April 2009.
    Competent in the following languages: Greek, Hebrew, Ugaritic, French and German.

  • Guest lecturer to undergraduate and graduate audiences on the Song of Songs at both Westminster Theological Seminary and Oak Hill College.

  • Member of the Society for Biblical Literature.

  • I have excellent IT skills with experience in using a variety of word processing, spreadsheets and database packages. I also have some knowledge of basic website design.
